A microscopic calculation of magnetic relaxation is introduced in chapter VII, because it is a unique application of the general formulation of the free energy of a magneto-dielectric media. 3 "Reduces complex calculational approaches to the simplest form of applicability. Two chapters (chapters IV and VI) and two appendices (one in chapter III and the other in chapter VII) were added. In addition, a section in chapter VII entitled “A Microscopic Model for the Landau-Lifshitz Damping Mechanism is added. Finally, an abstract is added to each chapter. Chapter IV is extremely important because for the first time it tells the world on how to produce ferrites at the atomic scale for the first time. It is important because future electronic devices are heading toward miniaturization. Chapter VI shows how the lessons learned from chapter IV were utilized to produce magnetoelectric ferrite materials at the atomic scale to enhance the magnetoelectric coupling. " 4 New applications in modern technologies require new point of views that allows the practitioner to utilize efficiently new and advanced materials. 5 Addresses the “What if” question of placing a particular magnetic ion in a specific site of a unit crystal lattice which the natural growth process doesn’t allow, contrary to the artificial growth process introduced in this book. This process was utilized to enhance the magnetoelectric coupling in hexaferrites while introducing a threshold of a new generation of ferrite materials.
