Conosci l'autore

David Brown

David Brown (Gravesend, Kent, 1929), musicologo, ha insegnato nelle scuole superiori per molti anni prima di diventare archivista alla biblioteca di musica della London University. Nel 1962 si trasferì alla Southampton University, divenendo professore di musicologia. Ritiratosi nel 1989, si è dedicato alla pubblicazione di studi sui compositori russi, dapprima Glinka e Musorgskij, poi Cajkovskij, del quale ha curato una monografia in quattro volumi da cui è tratto questo libro.
